Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wouterus Verschuur could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Dutch After The Circus changed hands for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,613.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wouterus Verschuur achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A well-deserved rest in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 327,656.00 (€ 157,264.07).
