In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters including Old Master & British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work A Seascape With Boats By A Fortified Village by Wouter Knijff. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,507.07), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wouter Knijff; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Fishermen in rowing boats near the Kleine Houtpoort, Haarlem; and A river landscape with a romanesque church and a walled town sold at auction in November 2011 with the realized price of EUR 27,400.00.

Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters including Old Master & British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Seascape With Boats By A Fortified Village von Wouter Knijff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.507,07) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
