Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait, 2018 by Wole Lagunju was sold in the African Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in May last year. The price achieved of EUR 1,050.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wole Lagunju achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flower Power Mask III in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,545.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait, 2018 von Wole Lagunju wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion African Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.050,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wole Lagunju erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flower Power Mask III im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.545,89).
