Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Spiritual Renewal by Wisdom Kudowor for GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,173.30). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Wisdom Kudowor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Anatomy of Culture in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,356.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Spiritual Renewal von Wisdom Kudowor für GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.173,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wisdom Kudowor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Anatomy of Culture im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.356,53).
