Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale, which included the work Bonding by Wisdom Kudowor. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,613.28), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wisdom Kudowor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Anatomy of Culture, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,356.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bonding von Wisdom Kudowor zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.402,50 (€ 1.613,28) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Wisdom Kudowor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Anatomy of Culture beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.356,53) versteigert wurde.
