Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Echoes From A Desolate Place by Wisdom Kudowor was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,276.00 (€ 3,637.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Wisdom Kudowor have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2018 the work Anatomy of Culture was auctioned for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,356.53).
