Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wire Tuazon could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Construction Of Desire Series And The Hymn Of Creation changed hands for HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,190.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wire Tuazon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Invisible forest in May 2010 with an auction result of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 16,881.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wire Tuazon konnte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Construction Of Desire Series And The Hymn Of Creation für HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.190,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wire Tuazon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Invisible forest im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 16.881,92).
