Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work Yellow Elk by Winold Reiss for USD 7,040.00 (€ 6,453.98). This price was achieved in the auction Western Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Winold Reiss achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Offering To The Sun in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 133,558.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Yellow Elk von Winold Reiss für USD 7.040,00 (€ 6.453,98) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Winold Reiss erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Offering To The Sun im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 133.558,90).
