This work of art by Winifred Walker could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the At Home-British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction, the work Mixed roses in a glass vase changed hands for GBP 235.00 (€ 337.35) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Other works by Winifred Walker have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2004 by the work Carnations, roses, daisies, tulips and other summer flowers in a vase on a ledge at GBP 298.75 (€ 447.20).
