Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstractions by Willy Kessels was sold in the PHOTOGRAPHS auction at Christies in London in November 2003. The price achieved of GBP 235.00 (€ 337.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willy Kessels achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans Titre (Masque) in May 2012 with an auction result of EUR 4,750.00.

Die Arbeit Abstractions von Willy Kessels wurde im November 2003 in der Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 235,00 (€ 337,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willy Kessels erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans Titre (Masque) im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.750,00.
