The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 3,000.00 but the actual price achie Admittedly, works by William Young Ottley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of A Gentleman, Three-Quarter-Length, In A Cream Coat And Waistcoat With Gold Buttons And Trim, Leaning Against A Stone Plinth In A Landscape in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 55,200.00 (€ 81,973.73).
