Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Oban Boat by William Yorke MacGregor was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in October this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,102.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Yorke MacGregor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Sands of Morar in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,530.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Oban Boat von William Yorke MacGregor kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.102,35) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Yorke MacGregor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Sands of Morar im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 7.530,21).
