Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 50,775.00 (€ 48,187.34). Admittedly, works by William Wendt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Silence Of Night in June 2016 with an auction result of USD 286,000.00 (€ 259,245.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Snow above the ranch von William Wendt kam im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 50.775,00 (€ 48.187,34) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Wendt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Silence Of Night im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 286.000,00 (€ 259.245,83).
