Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Wendt could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the California Art auction, the work Memory Lane changed hands for USD 25,312.50 (€ 22,426.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Wendt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Silence Of Night in June 2016 with an auction result of USD 286,000.00 (€ 259,245.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Wendt konnte im November 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California Art wechselte die Arbeit Memory Lane für USD 25.312,50 (€ 22.426,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Wendt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Silence Of Night im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 286.000,00 (€ 259.245,83).
