Die Arbeit Laguna Landscape, Irvine Cove von William Wendt kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 45.735,00 (€ 44.303,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 31%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Wendt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Silence Of Night im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 286.000,00 (€ 259.245,83).
