Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Milkmaid Crossing A Bridge by William Taverner was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours auction at Christies in London in March 2006. It changed hands for a price of GBP 288.00 (€ 412.65) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Taverner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On the outskirts of a town in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 26,250.00 (€ 33,435.44).

Die Arbeit A Milkmaid Crossing A Bridge von William Taverner wurde im März 2006 in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 288,00 (€ 412,65) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00.
