Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California, which included the work What Audrey Thought She Saw...What Audrey Saw She Thought, 2011 by William T. Wiley. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,202.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William T. Wiley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ediface Complex, 1981 in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 25,075.00 (€ 22,326.60).
