Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cross Country Out House, 1971 by William T. Wiley was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,650.00 (€ 6,607.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William T. Wiley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ediface Complex, 1981, which sold at auction in June 2020 for USD 25,075.00 (€ 22,326.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cross Country Out House, 1971 von William T. Wiley kam im September 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.650,00 (€ 6.607,93) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von William T. Wiley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ediface Complex, 1981 beobachtet, die im Juni 2020 für USD 25.075,00 (€ 22.326,60) versteigert wurde.
