Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 6,214.00 (€ 9,076.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Stewart MacGeorge have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nutting in October 2003 with an auction result of GBP 45,410.00 (€ 66,325.43).
