Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Children in a glen by William Stewart MacGeorge was sold in the THE SCOTTISH SALE, THE ASSEMBLY ROOMS, EDINBURGH auction at Christies in London in October 2003. The price achieved of GBP 6,214.00 (€ 9,076.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Stewart MacGeorge have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nutting in October 2003 with an auction result of GBP 45,410.00 (€ 66,325.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Children in a glen von William Stewart MacGeorge wurde im Oktober 2003 in der Auktion THE SCOTTISH SALE, THE ASSEMBLY ROOMS, EDINBURGH bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.214,00 (€ 9.076,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Stewart MacGeorge auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nutting im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.410,00 (€ 66.325,43).
