Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, which included the work Chrysis, a grey racehorse, held by a groom, with a jockey, in a landscape by William Shaw. The price achieved of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,127.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by William Shaw have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2013 the work The Grey Racehorse 'Lamprey' And A Bay Racehorse Held By Grooms In A Landscape was auctioned for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,921.68).

Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chrysis, a grey racehorse, held by a groom, with a jockey, in a landscape von William Shaw zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.127,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
