Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Sharp could be acquired at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Studio Art auction, the work Seated Girl in Blue changed hands for USD 127.50 (€ 119.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Sharp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Watching Over his Sister in January 2000 with an auction result of USD 2,760.00 (€ 2,828.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Sharp konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Studio Art wechselte die Arbeit Seated Girl in Blue für USD 127,50 (€ 119,18) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Sharp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Watching Over his Sister im Januar 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.760,00 (€ 2.828,74).
