The result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 134,541.21) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Robinson Leigh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Narrowing Circle in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 727,500.00 (€ 687,748.16).

Die Arbeit Parting Pals von William Robinson Leigh kam im Mai 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 134.541,21) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Robinson Leigh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Narrowing Circle im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 727.500,00 (€ 687.748,16).
