Auction result well in line with expectations

In March 2009 Christies in London held the auction The Country House Sale - Property of the 14th Earl of Kintore & The Collection of the Late Bernard Lyons, C.B.E., which included the work Portrait of David, 5th Baron Falconer of Haulkertoun (1681-1751), half-length, in a breast-plate and red embroidered coat, in a feigned oval and Portrait of Lady Catherine Margaret Keith (c.1690-1762), half-length, in a blue embroidered dress and pink wra by William Robertson. The price achieved of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,156.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00.
