Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Animal Husbandry; and the life-cycle of the house fly by William Neave Parker for GBP 500.00 (€ 562.68). This price was achieved in the auction The Astor Collection from Tillypronie, Aberdeenshire at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Neave Parker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of the gateway to the caravanserai at Rajmahal, Bengal; View of the ghats at Murshidabad, Bengal; View of the minar at Gour, Bengal, which sold at auction in September 2005 for GBP 840.00 (€ 1,232.76).
