Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Mussel Gatherers by William Marshall Brown was sold in the The Scottish Sale at The Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh auction at Christies in London in October 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,182.50 (€ 6,019.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by William Marshall Brown have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Among Wild Roses in October 2002 with an auction result of GBP 26,290.00 (€ 41,586.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Mussel Gatherers von William Marshall Brown wurde im Oktober 2004 in der Auktion The Scottish Sale at The Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.182,50 (€ 6.019,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
