Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boys fishing by William Marshall Brown was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2001. The price achieved of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,609.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Marshall Brown have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Among Wild Roses in October 2002 with an auction result of GBP 26,290.00 (€ 41,586.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boys fishing von William Marshall Brown kam im November 2001 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.609,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Marshall Brown auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Among Wild Roses im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.290,00 (€ 41.586,15).
