Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spring Days, Coachella Valley by William Louis Otte was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,737.50 (€ 5,083.28) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Louis Otte - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Windswept, Carmel by the Sea, which sold at auction in November 2018 for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,039.48).
