Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2000 a collector was able to acquire the work Hills in Autumn by William Lester Stevens for USD 3,525.00 (€ 4,153.90). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by William Lester Stevens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Logging in November 2001 with an auction result of USD 16,450.00 (€ 18,363.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2000 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Hills in Autumn von William Lester Stevens für USD 3.525,00 (€ 4.153,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00.
