This artwork by William Leighton Leitch achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2007. In the British and Continental Watercolours and Original Book Illustrations auction, the work Droving cattle in the Scottish highlands sold for GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,316.96) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Leighton Leitch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Villa of Lucullus At Miseneum in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 48,000.00 (€ 70,518.07).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Leighton Leitch erzielte im Juli 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
