Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work In the sand dunes by William Langley for GBP 58.75 (€ 94.71). This price was achieved in the auction British & Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Langley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Highland cattle watering in a mountainous landscape in September 2001 with an auction result of GBP 1,880.00 (€ 3,035.40).

Im April 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit In the sand dunes von William Langley für GBP 58,75 (€ 94,71) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British & Continental Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Langley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Highland cattle watering in a mountainous landscape im September 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.880,00 (€ 3.035,40).
