Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work The Polish Bride And Groom by William Kurelek for CAD 18,000.00 (€ 13,807.18). This price was achieved in the auction Important Canadian Art at Sothebys in Toronto and was even below the estimate range of CAD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Kurelek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wintertime North Of Winnipeg in November 2012 with an auction result of CAD 255,500.00 (€ 197,742.47).
