In May 2012 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work A Little Lick by William Kurelek. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 88,750.00 (€ 69,354.78), 27% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Kurelek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wintertime North Of Winnipeg, which sold at auction in November 2012 for CAD 255,500.00 (€ 197,742.47).

Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Little Lick von William Kurelek zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CAD 88.750,00 (€ 69.354,78) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von William Kurelek mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wintertime North Of Winnipeg beobachtet, die im November 2012 für CAD 255.500,00 (€ 197.742,47) versteigert wurde.
