Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bonhams in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Dutch Iris I by William Kentridge. The price achieved of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 11,058.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Kentridge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Procession in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,538,500.00 (€ 1,200,452.56).
