Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Toilet by William Kay Blacklock was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2006. The price achieved of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,503.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Kay Blacklock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 38,863.46).

Die Arbeit The Toilet von William Kay Blacklock kam im Mai 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.503,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Kay Blacklock erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Summer im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.450,00 (€ 38.863,46).
