Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Minto by William Johnstone was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2011. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,455.53). Admittedly, works by William Johnstone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Earth, Air, Fire, Water in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 19,200.00 (€ 28,254.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Minto von William Johnstone kam im Juli 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.455,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Johnstone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Earth, Air, Fire, Water im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 19.200,00 (€ 28.254,10).
