Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work A three-decked ship-of-the-line bearing away from Jamestown, St. Helena, with her escorting frigate firing a farewell salute by William John Huggins. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,399.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00.
