Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Works on Paper, which included the work The artist's studio, London by William James Müller. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,134.00 (€ 1,329.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William James Müller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Florence, A View Of The City And The River Arno From San Miniato in July 2017 with an auction result of GBP 33,750.00 (€ 37,659.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit The artist's studio, London von William James Müller zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.134,00 (€ 1.329,85) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William James Müller erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Florence, A View Of The City And The River Arno From San Miniato im Juli 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.750,00 (€ 37.659,82).
