The work Chuck! Chuck! Chuck! by William Huggins was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2011. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,167.40) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Huggins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two leopards in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 458,500.00 (€ 334,305.50).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Chuck! Chuck! Chuck! von William Huggins kam im November 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.167,40) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Huggins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two leopards im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 458.500,00 (€ 334.305,50).
