The work Patience by William Holyoake was sold in the Victorian Pictures auction at Christies in London in June 2000. It changed hands for a price of GBP 29,375.00 (€ 46,562.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Patience is the most expensive artwork by William Holyoake that we have observed at auctions so far.
