Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Holyoake could be acquired at Christies in London in August 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction, the work Fishing in the rock pool changed hands for GBP 480.00 (€ 709.57) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Holyoake achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Patience in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 29,375.00 (€ 46,562.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William Holyoake konnte im August 2007 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Fishing in the rock pool für GBP 480,00 (€ 709,57) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Holyoake erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Patience im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 29.375,00 (€ 46.562,99).
