Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "The Spring" by William Henry Walker was sold in the The Art of Illustration - From the Collection of Michael Winner auction at Sothebys in London in December 2012. The price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 770.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Henry Walker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "A Mothers' Meeting", which sold at auction in December 2012 for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,083.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit "The Spring" von William Henry Walker wurde im Dezember 2012 in der Auktion The Art of Illustration - From the Collection of Michael Winner bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 770,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von William Henry Walker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "A Mothers' Meeting" beobachtet, die im Dezember 2012 für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.083,19) versteigert wurde.
