In December 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction The Art of Illustration - From the Collection of Michael Winner, which included the work "A Mothers' Meeting" by William Henry Walker. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,083.19), 25% above the upper estimate. With this result, "A Mothers' Meeting" is even the most expensive work of art by William Henry Walker that we have observed at auctions so far.
