Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work A farmhouse by William Henry Hunt for GBP 1,638.00 (€ 1,920.89). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Works on Paper at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Henry Hunt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Eavesdropper in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 26,290.00 (€ 37,739.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A farmhouse von William Henry Hunt für GBP 1.638,00 (€ 1.920,89) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Henry Hunt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Eavesdropper im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.290,00 (€ 37.739,68).
