Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Henry Hunt could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Grapes, an apple and holly berries on a mossy bank changed hands for GBP 750.00 (€ 899.11) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Henry Hunt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Eavesdropper in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 26,290.00 (€ 37,739.68).
