Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Old adversaries by William Henry Hamilton Trood for GBP 812.50 (€ 1,027.32). This price was achieved in the auction Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Henry Hamilton Trood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Wait till the clouds roll by' in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 62,750.00 (€ 73,715.09).
