Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 18,900.00 (€ 16,744.93). Admittedly, works by William Henry Dethlef Koerner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Posse in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 118,056.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit When Rocks Crumble von William Henry Dethlef Koerner wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 18.900,00 (€ 16.744,93) einen neuen Besitzer.
