Auction result well in line with expectations
The work ‘The Kiss Of Peace 1916-1917 Nothing Doing’ by William Heath Robinson was sold in the The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer auction at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 1,992.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Heath Robinson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sane Economy of Space at a Wedding Reception in a Small Flat in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,807.57).
