Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction The Art of Illustration - From the Collection of Michael Winner, which included the work "Good And Bad Luck. A Rather Curious Incident At Frinton On Sea" by William Heath Robinson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,316.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Heath Robinson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sane Economy of Space at a Wedding Reception in a Small Flat, which sold at auction in April 2011 for USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,807.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Art of Illustration - From the Collection of Michael Winner durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Good And Bad Luck. A Rather Curious Incident At Frinton On Sea" von William Heath Robinson zur Versteigerung kam.
