In the The Art of Illustration - From the Collection of Michael Winner auction, the work “And In He Goes: Down Where The Mermaids Pluck And Play” (From ‘Off The Ground’) sold for GBP 1,188.00 (€ 1,465.13) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. Admittedly, works by William Heath Robinson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sane Economy of Space at a Wedding Reception in a Small Flat in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,807.57).

In der Auktion The Art of Illustration - From the Collection of Michael Winner wurde die Arbeit “And In He Goes: Down Where The Mermaids Pluck And Play” (From ‘Off The Ground’) für GBP 1.188,00 (€ 1.465,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Heath Robinson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sane Economy of Space at a Wedding Reception in a Small Flat im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 11.807,57).
