Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work A Finch Suspended From A Rope, A Partridge And A Kingfisher On A Partially Draped Stone Ledge by William Gouw Ferguson. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,250.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by William Gouw Ferguson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Falconry Still Life With A Dead Partridge, Songbirds, And Hunting Attributes Hanging On A Rope in May 2010 with an auction result of EUR 29,550.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Finch Suspended From A Rope, A Partridge And A Kingfisher On A Partially Draped Stone Ledge von William Gouw Ferguson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.250,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Gouw Ferguson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Falconry Still Life With A Dead Partridge, Songbirds, And Hunting Attributes Hanging On A Rope im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 29.550,00.
